Feedback sought: financial advice disclosure requirements and addressing misuse of the Financial Service Providers Register
Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Kris Faafoi has today released two discussion papers in relation to regulations to support the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Bill.
The first paper seeks feedback on the new disclosure requirements for those providing financial advice under the new regulatory regime. A copy of the paper can be viewed here.
The second paper seeks feedback on regulations to support measures in the Bill relating to misuse of the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR). A copy of the paper can be viewed here.
Thank you for the input you have provided so far, which has helped us to develop some of the proposals in the above documents. We would welcome your feedback on one or both of these documents. Please use the submissions template available at the above links.
Submissions on the disclosure discussion paper are due by 5pm on Friday 25 May 2018 and submissions on the FSPR discussion paper are due by 5pm on Tuesday 15 May 2018.
