While special events increase features are a useful addition to insurance contracts, they are probably overweight in the Quality Product Research Limited model. That weighting is currently under review and a reduction for the 'incidence' score for the item (applicable to all providers) is likely. As a point of contrast, the rarely-used special events feature is currently worth more than the constantly-used indexation feature. That is probably the reverse of the actual impact on claims amounts paid. Another wrinkle in the model that is likely to be dealt with is the difference in incidence between life, trauma, TPD, and income protection benefits.
