Over decades of insurance sector research work (at Sovereign, consulting, and within Quality Product Research) new information comes all the time. All the time I try to remember to be curious about new information, to hold my current paradigm for the industry lightly, or to set it to one side from time to time to explore the new idea. No one can manage to maintain an entirely open mind - that's why the views of others that think a bit differently can be so valuable. Outsiders, fresh voices. I cannot rely on them exclusively, or all the time, but I have to be able to bring them into the discourse and analysis.
